INDICATIONS

Cryothérapy whole body entire is a treatment technique by exposure to extreme cold and dry (up to -140 degrees). It is a known therapy especially for its antalgic and anti-inflammatory effects.

Analgesic effect (anti-pain): Exposure to cold acts on the nervous system by decreasing the speed of transmission of nociceptive voices (voice of pain). It is a very powerful analgesic, so it returns in the protocols of treatment of the chronic pain (more than 6 weeks).

– Anti-inflammatory effect : The cold will cause a decrease in the main inflammatory symptoms (redness, swelling, heat and pain). Vascular vasoconstriction due to exposure to cold will result in decreased blood flow to injured or inflamed tissue. The cascade of inflammation will therefore be diminished and therefore, there will be attenuation of all the symptoms related to this metabolic reaction. Moreover, it has been demonstrated that after 3 minutes of exposure in a CCE chamber (immersed head), the concentration of anti-inflammatory proteins increases (interleukin IL-10).
